This tiny blue planet that we reside in is unique to our solar system, or, at least we believe so, because as far as we know, the earth is the only living planet in this galaxy. But, before this turns into a heated discussion about alien life, intergalactic monsters, robots from outer space, and what not, let's just be in agreement on the fact that for now, the Earth is really the only living planet that we know of.
From all the balls of gas and rock in the countless galaxies in outer space, why our planet? What is so extraordinary about this white, green, tan, and blue chunk of rock that it is able to sustain life? Furthermore, why are we here in the first place? Well, firstly, it might take more than a couple of lifetimes to figure that mystery out and secondly, I am raising way too many questions. The main thing is that we're here now, and we exist because of Earth's ideal conditions.
I cannot speak for all men, but in my opinion, that is reason enough to be really thankful for the gift of life that we are enjoying. That is why we should be grateful for the fact that we live, and we are experiencing all the wonderful things that life offers. We get up everyday to learn new things, undergo a variety of feelings, and create beautiful memories with the people that we love. And there is no better way to preserve these memories than having them preserved eternally in a photograph.
And of all the memories in somebody's life, one that can be treated as one of the most special moments is when life is just starting, meaning the time of pregnancy, and those fragile years when a child is growing up. That is why maternity photography and infant or baby photography continue to be one of the most sought after types of photography. A trend that shows no sign of slowing down even in the next couple of years.
And although your pregnant spouse will most likely tell you that she feels and looks like a fat cow, a hippo, or any other bulky animal on earth, there is definitely an aspect of plain beauty and peace that can only be glimpsed in a pregnant woman. That's what maternity photography tries to capture and preserve for all eternity.
