What Family Really Means

By Anne Wiley

Blood is thicker than water, we have heard these well-known words time and again, but what exactly do they mean by it? We know that this phrase refers to family, and a literal interpretation would state that our bond with our immediate family is greater than any other connection that we could ever build with other individuals outside of it.

On the other hand, people who have various experiences on relationships can attest to the fact that this assertion is not always accurate, for we also develop real and enduring relationships with people who are not linked to us by blood. A simple example would be your closest friends, or your special someone, these are people who are on the same wavelength as us, people who understand us and who are there when we need a shoulder to cry on, people who think of us like "family".

With all these varied notions, what then does family really stand for? Well, simply put, family can be anywhere that makes you feel like you are truly at home, with people who love you unconditionally, and will stand by you no matter what, even if you are blood related or not. Finding as special as this for yourself is like holding a priceless treasure in the palm of your hands, it is certainly something that we should all protect and treasure.

Through a family portrait, you can do just that, these particular photo shoots enable you to document those special moments with your unique family and have something to remember everyone by, even if you are miles from each other. So whenever the chance arises for a complete family photo, do not miss the chance to preserve this priceless memory forever, proceed to a trusted photo studio now, and celebrate your time with family.

These photos can also serve as great centerpieces for your home, a good topic starter whenever someone comes over, or a way to reminisce all the good times you've had with your family members, because let's face it, life is too brief, and we should learn to value the things that really matter while we still can.
